Christmas Fayre 2025

ST MARY’S CHURCH, SULLINGTON CHRISTMAS FAYRE

The Christmas Fayre held on the 15th of November at Sullington Parish Hall felt like a true celebration of community spirit – one of those rare moments where the church, Sullington parish, families, and friends all seemed to blend into one warm, welcoming crowd. From the moment people began to arrive, there was a sense of shared excitement in the air, the kind that comes from knowing you’re part of something local and loved.

Our church and visiting stallholders filled the space with colour and life: handmade crafts, homemade cakes, our pop-up pre-loved clothes, festive treats, and the kind of little treasures you only seem to find at community events. Thank you to our wonderful church members and visiting stallholders for taking part in our event. Our hamper raffle, held in support of Family Support, raised a very good amount of money for the charity. It was a time to welcome our visitors – catching up with familiar faces and greeting newcomers with the same enthusiasm. Nothing felt rushed; people stayed to talk, to browse, and to enjoy simply being together.

Children added their own energy – darting between activities, helping themselves to glitter and glue at the Messy Church craft table, their laughter seemed to anchor the whole event in joy.

What stood out most was how natural the togetherness felt. It wasn’t just an event runby the Church community – it was one held together by it. Everyone from stallholders to visitors played a part in creating the warm, festive atmosphere.

By the end, there was a quiet contentment in the room, the kind that lingers after something genuinely uplifting. It felt less like a fundraiser or a fayre and more like a reminder of why community matters: shared time, shared smiles, shared purpose. A simple gathering, but one that brought out the very best of the people who came.

We look forward to next year, please join us!
